Water is important for life. On Earth, there is no life with no water. That
is the same for other planets too, like Mars.
水非常重要，沒有水就沒有生命，在火星上也是。

Scientists think Mars had lots of water billions of years ago. Then all the
water on Mars went away. Where did it go? Maybe some water went into space.
But where did most of it go? No one knows.
科學者認為火星在幾十億年前有水，但之後水慢慢消失了，是跑到太空了嗎?沒有人知道。

But now scientists think there is lots of water there. What? Mars is very
dry! It has cracks! Where is the water?
但科學家說，那裡現在還是有很多水，火星這麼乾，還有很多裂縫，怎麼可能有水?

Scientists think the water went down into the cracks. They think the water is
deep in Mars now. They think it is 10 or 20 kilometers deep!
科學家認為水應該在裂縫深處，在火星地底 10 到 20 公里深!

Scientists think there is lots of water. It can make an ocean. It can cover
all of Mars. It can be one or two kilometers deep. But it's deep in Mars.
科學家認為那些水足夠變成 1到2 公里深的海洋，覆蓋整個火星，只是現在在地底下。

Is there life on Mars? No one knows. Maybe we will find life there one day.
But it will be very hard. The water is a long, long way down!
火星上有生命嗎?也許哦! 不過因為水在很深的地方，可能很難找到生命，

What will life on Mars be like? Hmmmmm …

The Pasta'ay Festival Is About Something Serious   2024.11.14 語音檔連結 The Saisiyat are one of the Indigenous Taiwanese Peoples. Long ago, there were many Saisiyat people. Today, there are around six thousand Saisiyat in Taiwan. 賽夏族是台灣的原住民族，原本人口很多的他們，現在只有大約 6 千人。 But the Saisiyat have saved their traditions.
