What do you want to be when you grow up? Maybe you want to be a firefighter
or a police officer. You can help people. Maybe you want to be a race car
driver. You can drive fast!
你長大之後想做什麼呢? 也許你想當消防員或警察幫助別人，或是當賽車手開快車!

How about a flight attendant? You can fly around the world! Many people want
to be flight attendants.
也有很多人想當空服員，飛來飛去環遊世界。你想當空服員嗎?

An airline in Taiwan needs new flight attendants. More than 1,300 people want
the jobs! How many new flight attendant jobs does the airline have? They have
12! Wow! Most of those people won't become flight attendants with this
airline.
台灣有一間航空公司在徵求空服員，超過 1300 個人申請!
但是他們絕大部分會失望，因為公司只需要 12 個人。

Why does the airline need 12 new flight attendants? It bought some new
planes. And more people are flying now. They don't worry about COVID-19 now.
為什麼需要新的空服員呢? 疫情之後有更多人想要旅行，所以航空公司買了新飛機。

The flight attendants will fly from Taipei or Kaohsiung. They will fly in
Taiwan and to other countries. It's a good job.
這些空服員會從台北或高雄出發，飛往國內或是國際的大都市，是一份好工作。

It's not easy to get a good job. Companies want the best workers. So study
hard at school! Then you can get a good job when you grow up!

When it goes to  landfills , it makes gases that make the Earth hotter. 廚餘被丟到垃圾掩埋場，會產生溫室氣體，讓地球的溫度升高。 But in South Korea, people don't throw away food waste. The country recycles 98 percent of it. The Pasta'ay Festival Is About Something Serious   2024.11.14 語音檔連結 The Saisiyat are one of the Indigenous Taiwanese Peoples. Long ago, there were many Saisiyat people. Today, there are around six thousand Saisiyat in Taiwan. 賽夏族是台灣的原住民族，原本人口很多的他們，現在只有大約 6 千人。 But the Saisiyat have saved their traditions.
