Something very exciting happened in Taichung. A fast race car raced on
Shizheng Road! Sixty thousand people came to watch! It was a fun, noisy day!
台中有一件刺激的事情！一輛超快的賽車在市政路上飆車，吸引六萬人來觀看，是熱鬧的一天！

This was Taiwan's first F1 showrun! In a showrun, race cars drive on city
streets. People are close to the race cars!
這是台灣第一次F1賽車表演，人們可以在熟悉的街道旁，近距離觀看賽車飆車 !

But what is an F1 car? "F1" means "Formula One." That's a very fast racing
sport. F1 cars are very fast. They have one seat. The cars are open, so F1
drivers wear a helmet. The big, wide tires are outside of the car. These cars
race on racetracks all around the world.
F1 的意思是 Formula1，也就是一級方程式賽車，會在世界各地比賽。這些車子只有一個座位，而且是敞篷的，所以賽車手得戴上頭盔。車子外面有大大的輪子。

For the showrun, Taichung made sure the road was smooth. An F1 driver zoomed
along the road! His race car roared! He made the car spin!
台中特別把道路弄得平滑，讓F1車手可以在路上呼嘯而過，還讓車子原地旋轉！

He drove three times. Each time he did more. He made the car slide! His tires
drew circles on the road! He turned very fast, and smoke and fire came from a
tire! Whoaaaa!
他的三次表演包含了很多特技！他讓車子滑行、讓輪胎在路上畫出圓圈，還冒出煙跟火！哇!

The showrun was very exciting! For people who love F1 cars and racing, it was
a great day!

1. race 比賽。
There's a strange car on the street.街上有一部奇怪的車。

2. drive 駕駛。
Yeah, one can drive very fast in a car like that. 那種車可以開非常快。

3. make sure 確保。
I always make sure I'm not a danger to others.我都確保不會對別人造成危險。
Or to yourself.或者是對你自己。
Or to myself.或是我自己。

4. turn 轉彎。
So do you need a ride? 你想搭便車嗎?
Of course! 當然! But please, don't turn so suddenly. 但是拜託不要突然轉彎。
