Boy Breaks Vase and Gets Lesson  2024.11.26


One day, a family went to a museum. They looked at many old things. The
family has a four-year-old boy. He saw a vase. It was three thousand five
hundred years old!
一個四歲的小男孩跟他家人到博物館，他看到一個三千五百年前的古老瓶子。

The boy wanted to see the inside of the vase. The vase was tall. The boy was
small. So he pulled it a little... Uh-oh!
他想看看瓶子的裡面，但是瓶子放太高了，所以他輕輕拉了一下……。

The parents heard the crash. They saw their boy! They saw the broken vase!
There were many pieces! Oh no! The boy was scared! He cried!
他的爸媽轉頭看到小男孩，以及地上破碎的瓶子，小男孩害怕地哭了。

But the museum workers were very kind. They knew it was a mistake. And they
wanted kids to feel welcome. So they invited the family to come back.
博物館工作人員很和善。他們知道這是個意外。所以後來又邀請男孩一家人來博物館。

The family came back. The boy saw how the vase was fixed. The museum workers
showed him that mistakes are a part of learning.
男孩在博物館看到修補古老瓶子的過程，工作人員想讓男孩知道，犯錯是學習的一部份。

The museum workers hope more kids will visit. They want everyone to know it's
okay to make mistakes. Well, they don't want more broken things. But they
think broken things can be beautiful again!
博物館希望更多小朋友來參觀。他們想要小朋友知道，可以犯錯，破碎的東西也可以再次變得美麗！

1. invite 邀請。

2. mistake 錯誤。

3. hope 希望。
I hope you're not planning something bad. 我希望你不是在計劃做什麼壞事。
Of course not! 當然不是!

4. fix 修理。
I just think if the museum can fix the
vase…我只是在想假如這座博物館能修好瓶子...

We make a lot of food waste! All the world's food waste in one day can make one billion meals! Wow! 我們每天製造很多廚餘，全世界一天的廚餘量相當於一億份餐點 ! We throw away a lot of food. When it goes to  landfills , it makes gases that make the Earth hotter. 廚餘被丟到垃圾掩埋場，會產生溫室氣體，讓地球的溫度升高。 But in South Korea, people don't throw away food waste. The country recycles 98 percent of it. The Pasta'ay Festival Is About Something Serious   2024.11.14 語音檔連結 The Saisiyat are one of the Indigenous Taiwanese Peoples. Long ago, there were many Saisiyat people. Today, there are around six thousand Saisiyat in Taiwan. 賽夏族是台灣的原住民族，原本人口很多的他們，現在只有大約 6 千人。 But the Saisiyat have saved their traditions.
