Scientists Studying Small Human Bones on Island   2024.10.22 聲音檔連結 Twenty years ago, scientists found bones on an island in Indonesia. The bones are from sixty thousand to one hundred thousand years old! 二十年前，科學家在印尼一座小島上，發現一些人骨化石，大約有六萬到十萬年的歷史! These bones are from very short humans. Why were they short? We make a lot of food waste! All the world's food waste in one day can make one billion meals! Wow! 我們每天製造很多廚餘，全世界一天的廚餘量相當於一億份餐點 ! We throw away a lot of food. When it goes to  landfills , it makes gases that make the Earth hotter. 廚餘被丟到垃圾掩埋場，會產生溫室氣體，讓地球的溫度升高。 But in South Korea, people don't throw away food waste. The country recycles 98 percent of it.
