Well, different cultures use different calendars. 你知道世界新年的日子很不一樣嗎? 因為每一個文化有自己特別的月曆。 Today is New Year's Day on the calendar most countries use. It's solar. It uses the sun. 大部分的國家都是今天過新年，因為他們用陽曆來算時間。 Now it's month seven on a different calendar. Muslims use this calendar. It's lunar. It uses the moon. The new year is in June on the calendar that most countries use. It begins when a new moon comes. 但是對於伊斯蘭教徒而言，現在是陰曆的七月，他們用月亮計算時間，新年是在我們陽曆的六月。 In Taiwan, we say our calendar is lunar. But it's not! It uses the moon AND the sun! The new year begins when the new moon closest to the first day of spring comes.
